National Marine Week

It’s National Marine Week 23 Jul – 7 Aug 2016, so what better time is there to walk along the coast path, explore rock pools, or cool off with a swim in the sea?

Devon is a county blessed with two beautiful coastlines so you are never too far away from the fresh sea air.  The magnificent South West Coast Path can be tackled in small portions, perhaps try a new five mile stretch each month if you don’t feel like challenging all 630 miles in one go?  You can try to spot whales and dolphins from a cliff top; or see how many anemones you can find hiding in a rock pool at Wembury;  or take part in a sea monster sculpture day at Seaton Jurassic.  If you want to immerse yourself in the marine experience, take a ferry to to Lundy Island, the UK’s first Marine Conservation Zone, for it’s unique underwater wildlife and chilled out island life.

There is so much to ‘sea’ and do along the coast you will struggle to fit them all into one week!
