Fingle Woods, located in Devon’s Teign Valley on the edge of Dartmoor, is a vast and diverse woodland spanning 334 hectares. Jointly managed by the Woodland Trust and the National Trust, it is one of the UK’s largest woodland restoration projects. The site features a mix of habitats including ancient woodland, wet woodland, and temperate rainforest, supporting a wide range of wildlife such as otters, dormice, and rare butterflies. With over 45km of trails, Fingle Woods offers opportunities to explore nature, history, and archaeology, including the Iron Age hillfort Wooston Castle
