Natural Seaton Virtual BioBlitz – 21-22 August 2020

Take part in the Natural Seaton Virtual BioBlitz this weekend.

A BioBlitz is a collaborative race against time to find and record as many plant and animal species as possible over a set period of time – in this case, 48 hours.  Usually done in organised groups this year is a bit different to ensure social distancing is maintained.

You can take part in a variety of ways:

  • You can take a photo or record the species you find when out and about around Seaton on 21/22 August and post on twitter with the hashtag #NatSeatonBioBlitz, or comment on the Devon Wildlife Trust Facebook page and your record will be added to the tally of species found
  • You could survey your own garden if you live in Seaton
  • There are activity sheets for the Natural Seaton Discovery Areas at Seaton Hole, Seaton Beach, Seaton Wetlands and Holyford Woods
  • Take part in the Devon Wildlife Trust drawing competition by drawing the species you find
  • Watch the Devon Wildlife Trust virtual rock pool ramble
