Exe Estuary Trail Highly Commended by travel writers

One of Devon’s most popular walking and cycling routes, the Exe Estuary Trail, has been Highly Commended by the British Guild of Travel Writers in the category for Best UK Tourism Award Project.   They noted that “The route takes cyclists and walkers through a beautiful user-friendly path featuring boardwalks, lovely bridges, lagoons, bird viewing facilities and public art works and is a remarkable co-operative effort between Devon County Council, the National Cycle Network, Sustrans, the RSPB, Natural England, Network Rail, and even the Ministry of Defence. It protects habitats and boosts local business.”  Why not try the trail yourself, you can walk or cycle small sections and take the train back, or tackle the full 16 miles from Dawlish Warren to Exmouth!  Download the Exe Estuary Trail map or find more information here.
