Interesting information

Lady’s Wood hosts a significant population of hazel dormice. Since 1962, trained volunteers have been monitoring these nocturnal creatures, contributing to one of the UK’s longest-running dormouse studies.

The reserve supports a variety of bird species, including kestrels, which can often be seen hunting above the open areas.
